USC leads California at halftime, 31-24

Junior forward Hailey Dunham scored 10 points, several on slashing moves to the basket, as USC took a 31-24 halftime lead against 12th-ranked California in the semifinals of the Pacific 10 Conference women’s basketball tournament at the Galen Center.

USC led from the outset, building a lead as large as 11 points. Cal center Devanei Hampton scored four of her eight points down the stretch to trim the margin to seven points.

The winner of this game plays for the tournament championship Sunday against the winner of tonight’s semifinal between Stanford and UCLA.
