Lakers’ Jordan Farmar playing the numbers game

Lakers backup point guard Jordan Farmar switched jersey numbers from No. 5 to No. 1, Lakers spokesman John Black confirmed.

Black said he didn’t know the reason for the switch, although Farmar had worn both No. 1 and No. 11 when he played for UCLA from 2004 to 2006.

He wore No. 5 with the Lakers the last three seasons.
