Connecticut cornerback Jasper Howard dies in on-campus stabbing

Jasper Howard, a junior starting cornerback for Connecticut, died Sunday morning after an on-campus stabbing only hours after the team’s win over Louisville on Saturday.
According to the Hartford Courant, which first reported the story, Howard was stabbed after a fight broke out. He was airlifted to a nearby hospital, where he died.
There have been no arrests made, and the assailant is believed to be at large.
Howard had 11 tackles and a fumble recovery in the 38-25 win over Louisville on Saturday.
