Boys’ basketball: Division V championship game is set

The phones in the office have been ringing off the hook over the past 15 minutes, mostly with calls from coaches reporting final scores from their respective games during Southern California Regional playoff action earlier in the evening.

Mike Lynch was in good spirits. And with good reason. His team, Price, defeated El Cajon Foothills Christian, 61-41, in a Division V semifinal. The same can be said for Sid Cooke, who will face Lynch in Saturday’s title game after his boys from Renaissance Academy took care of Reedley Immanuel, 64-56, in the other semi.

Gotta go, my celly is blowing up now...
