Since I’ve gone 13-0 the last two weeks with predictions, it’s time to really go out on the limb with championship thoughts. So here I go.
City Division I: Crenshaw 42, Carson 14. It’s De’Anthony Thomas’ last high school game and he isn’t leaving the Coliseum on the losing side.
City Division II: Fairfax 35, Chatsworth 14. Chancellors can’t stop Matt Bowen’s running.
Pac 5: Servite 24, Mission Viejo 21. It’s heads or tails in this one. I’m guessing a Connor Loftus field goal will decide it.
Northern: Westlake 42, Oaks Christian 28. Nick Isham is going to pick apart the Lions’ secondary.
Inland: Corona Centennial 48, Vista Murrieta 14. Bring on Palo Alto.
Western: Gardena Serra 56, Arroyo Grande 21. That blur was George Farmer streaking toward the end zone for four touchdowns.
Central: Rancho Verde 28, Colton 21. Both schools are grateful Corona Centennial isn’t in this division.
Southeast: Bonita 38, West Covina 35. Upset special.
Southern: Garden Grove 42, Beckman 14. There’s no stopping Josh Webb.
Northwest: South Torrance 21, Lompoc 14. It will be a fun bus ride home for South Torrance.
Southwest: La Habra 35, Tustin 28. A tougher schedule and the ability to pass keys La Habra win.
Eastern: Summit 28, Elsinore 21. Devon Blackmon is the player to watch.
Mid-Valley: Monrovia 21, Whittier Christian 20. After going 0-9 in championship games, Monrovia finally wins.
East Valley: Paraclete 35, Sierra Canyon 34. This one is going to be exciting.
Northeast: Bishop 42, Boron 28. Bishop will celebrate with a ski party in Mammoth.
