Football: Carson scores first against Long Beach Poly

It’s already a big night for Carson receiver Darreus Rogers, who scored on a spectacular 68-yard reception to give the Colts a 6-0 lead over host Long Beach Poly early in the second quarter.

Rogers snagged a pass near the sideline near the Jackrabbits’ 35-yard line and then cut back toward the middle and raced into the end zone. He has six catches for 121 yards.
