Football: Sparks gets Colts closer to LB Poly

Senior running back Kendell Sparks broke several tackles on his way to an 11-yard touchdown that has pulled host Carson to within 8-6 of Long Beach Poly with seven minutes left in the second quarter. The two-point conversion run failed.

Poly took an 8-0 lead when Carson quarterback Justin Collins slipped in his own end zone, resulting in a safety.
