Apartment in France

In December, 1983, Jerry Hulse’s column carried a small paragraph on French Home Rentals’ apartment in Paris. I was planning this year’s vacation, so wrote them immediately, and recently returned from a five-week stay.
Two friends and I shared the newly remodeled one-bedroom apartment. Not only is the apartment well-furnished, but the pantry was stocked with staples, and wine, bread and cheese awaited our arrival in flower-filled rooms.
The 3rd arrondissement is a working-class neighborhood. Not posh, but of great historical interest and very convenient for the tourist. Metro and bus stops are close, as are Place des Vosges and Centre Pompidou, restaurants, markets, automatic laundry.
