Dow: Year’s Biggest Rally

NEW YORK — The stock market rolled up its best gain in more than three weeks today, extending the rally that began on Monday.
The Dow Jones average of 30 industrials closed up 20.76 at 1,223.50.
New York Stock Exchange volume was about 124.68 million shares compared with 99.23 million shares Wednesday.
