Chief of Naval Operations on 9-Day, 4-Nation Trip

WASHINGTON — Adm. James D. Watkins, the chief of naval operations, Wednesday began a nine-day overseas trip during which he will meet with military and government officials, the Pentagon said. He will visit Italy, Oman, Bahrain and Pakistan.
