Prep Basketball GIRLS : Birmingham 52, Canoga Park 42

Birmingham High made an 11-5 first-quarter lead stand up behind 18 points from sophomore forward Shagarro Lattin to defeat Canoga Park at home.
Junior center Jameme Washington scored 17 points and senior forward Cassandra Hudson added 10 to help the Braves improve to 4-4 in the Girls Valley League. They are 6-5 overall.
Canoga Park, which was led by 16 points from Lori Clemons, fell to 5-3 in league and 8-8 overall.
