Thousands Protest Marcos Government

MANILA — Thousands of people marched through northern Manila on Thursday, protesting what they called the “oppressive government of President Ferdinand Marcos.”

Police looked on, but there were no incidents as the marchers, mostly students and workers, blocked traffic on a major boulevard.
