Sanchez Signs a One-Year Angel Contract

Receiver Luis Sanchez, who had filed for salary arbitration last month, has agreed to a one -year contract with the Angels, the team said Wednesday.
Sanchez, who had a 9-7 record with 11 saves and a 3.33 earned-run average in 49 relief appearances last year, had asked for $425,000 in arbitration. The Angel offer was $280,000.
Although no financial terms of the contract were announced, Sanchez reportedly will earn about $320,000.
Sanchez, 31, led the Angels in saves and pitching appearances last season. He was 5-1 with nine saves and a 1.71 ERA before the All-Star break.
In three-plus seasons, he has a 26-21 record with 25 saves and a 3.64 ERA.
