Woman Dies After Car Plunges Down Incline

Awoman died Friday of injuries received when her car plunged about 200 feet off the side of Mulholland Drive in Studio City, Los Angeles police said.
Los Angeles police said the victim was a 33-year-old woman from Hollywood, but her name was withheld pending notification of her family. Her car tumbled down an incline about a mile east of Coldwater Canyon, Sgt. Frank Knuckles said.
The woman, who suffered multiple fractures and cuts, was taken up the rocky hillside by Los Angeles city firefighters after the 2:30 p.m. accident. She was flown by helicopter to St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, where she died, authorities said.
