Illinois’ Lakes Wins Title; UCLA Top Team

Charles Lakes of Illinois won the all-around title, and UCLA won the team title Friday night in the UCLA/Times Invitational men’s gymnastics meet at Pauley Pavilion.
The crowd of 6,812 was the largest in the history of the event.
UCLA, defending NCAA champion, scored 282.35 points. Nebraska was second with 281.60, followed by Arizona State with 280.90.
Lakes earned a perfect 10.0 score on the horizontal bar and had a total of 58.35.
