United Technical Division Gets $25-Million Order

EAST HARTFORD, Conn — United Technologies Corp.’s Pratt & Whitney division said Scandinavian Airlines has placed more than $25 million in additional orders for JT8D-219 engines to power five McDonnell Douglas MD-20 twin-jets
It said the new orders include 10 installed engines and two spares for the five new aircraft, which will be delivered in 1986.
The airline also took options on 18 more MD-80 aircraft, Pratt & Whitney said.
