Chaney Takes Clippers on the Road for 5 Games, Starting in Chicago

CHICAGO — The Clippers, losers of 11 straight road games and seven straight overall, will open a five-game trip tonight against the Chicago Bulls at the Chicago Stadium.
This will be the Clippers’ first road game with interim Coach Don Chaney in charge. Chaney replaced Jim Lynam Wednesday and lost his first game to Cleveland, 114-112, at the Sports Arena.
The scheduled game between the Clippers and the Detroit Pistons at the Sports Arena March 27 has been rescheduled for March 18, it was announced Thursday.
All tickets dated March 27 will be honored by the Clippers on March 18, the club said.
The shift was made because of damage at the Pontiac, Mich., Silverdome, where the Pistons play their home games. A heavy snowfall in the Detroit area caused the roof of the Silverdome to collapse Monday, forcing the Pistons to reschedule their remaining home games.
