Cal State Fullerton Softball Team Splits Games in Pacific Tournament

The Cal State Fullerton softball team split its first two game in the Pacific Tournament at Stockton Thursday, losing its opener to Fresno State, 4-1, and winning the second over UC Santa Barbara, 2-0.
In the first game, Debbie Mygind (17-2) suffered only her second loss of the year as the Bulldogs scored four runs in the sixth inning. Fullerton scored its lone run on consecutive singles by Leslie King, Joann Ferrieri and Lisa Baker.
In the nightcap, the Titans scored two runs in the top of the eighth inning to break a scoreless tie with Santa Barbara. April Jones (3-0) picked up the win.
Tournament play continues Friday.
