Prosecutors will oppose a parole next week for Kenneth Bianchi, who confessed to killing five women in the 1979 Hillside Strangler case. “We obviously will oppose parole,” district attorney’s spokesman Al Albergate said. The California Board of Prison Terms will meet in Sacramento on Tuesday to hear Bianchi’s plea via telephone from the state prison in Walla Walla, Wash. Bianchi, 33, is serving two life terms--one for the Hillside Strangler slayings and another for his conviction in the killings of two Washington co-eds. The parole hearing is only for the Los Angeles case.
