Continental agreed to buy 6 aircraft from Airbus.

The Houston-based carrier said it will acquire three new and three used A300 B-4 aircraft from Airbus Industrie for about $176 million to augment its wide-body fleet. Continental Airlines will take delivery of the A300s next year. Airbus will arrange for either debt or lease financing to Continental for the aircraft.
