14 Chinese Gymnasts to Compete in World Championships at Montreal

PEKING — Olympic triple gold medalist Li Ning will be among 14 Chinese gymnasts competing in the 23rd World Gymnastics Championships at Montreal Nov. 3-10, the official news agency Xinhua said Tuesday.
“I am now in top form,” it quoted Li as saying. He took the gold medals for floor exercise, pommel horse and rings in the 1984 Olympic Games at Los Angeles.
The seven-member men’s team also will include Lou Yun, gold medalist in the vault, and Tong Fei, winner of the silver medal in the horizontal bars, Xinhua reported.
