Off-Road Race Winners Dropped to 11th

ENSENADA, B.C., Mexico — An official change in the order of finish in the SCORE Baja Off-Road race was made Sunday, with Larry Roeseler and Kurt Pfeiffer being dropped from first to 11th in the overall standings.
Roeseler, from El Cajon and Pfeiffer, from Costa Mesa, were penalized for missing a checkpoint during the 822-mile race, officials said.
Randy Morales of Burbank and Derrick Paiement of Ridgecrest, Calif., were elevated from second to first in the overall order of finish, with Steve Sourpas of La Jolla, Calif., and Dave Richardson of La Mesa, Calif., moving up to second.
