Times Mirror plans to sell a cable operation.

Times Mirror Cable Television, a unit of Times Mirror Co., said it is seeking buyers for its 50% interest in Community Cable TV, a 63,000-subscriber system in southern Nevada that it owns jointly with the Greenspun family, publishers of the Las Vegas Sun. A Times Mirror spokesman said the company believes that its best interests would be served by focusing resources elsewhere.
