A Chicago teen-ager convicted of murder in last year’s shooting death of high school basketball star Ben Wilson Jr. was sentenced to a maximum 40-year prison term.
William Moore III, 17, who fired the fatal shot, drew the 40-year sentence. His accomplice, Omar Dixon, 16, was given 30 years. Wilson had been considered one of the top college basketball prospects in the nation.
