UCLA Women Lose to Washington, 68-50

Washington’s women’s basketball team went on a 14-0 run midway through the second half Friday to break open a close game and hand UCLA a 68-50 defeat in the first round of the Falcon Tip-Off tournament at Seattle Pacific in Seattle.
In the season opener for both teams, Washington led, 32-30, at halftime, and was ahead, 46-42, with 9:04 left in the game. UCLA then went six minutes without scoring a point while the Huskies put the game away.
The Bruins were led by reserve Shari Biggs with 12 points.
