Graham Wins in Indoor National

NEW YORK — Top-seeded Debbie Graham of Fountain Valley led the way Wednesday as 15 of 16 seeded players advanced in the United States Tennis Association’s Girls’ 16 Indoor National Championships.
Graham beat Rachel Gerstein of Montclair, N.J., 6-0, 6-2 in first-round play.
Graham passed up Tuesday’s CIF Southern Section 2-A finals at the West End Tennis and Racquet Club in Torrance to play in the USTA event. She was the 2-A singles champion the past two seasons.
