John McEnroe, who was assessed a 42-day suspension on Dec. 16, has been reinstated and may compete in Nabisco Grand Prix tournaments and other sanctioned events, the Men’s International Professional Tennis Council said.
McEnroe was suspended after he exceeded the $7,500 limit in fines over the past 12 months. Under the provisions of the Code of Conduct, which is administered by the Pro Council, because McEnroe did not play in any professional tournament or event for the first 21 days of the suspension, it was commuted as of Sunday.
