“The Magic of Money.” Hollywood Home Entertainment. $24.95. Teaching kids about money--its role as a medium of exchange, how to earn it, save it and put it to work--is a risky but laudable enterprise. Part 1 stars a talking Roosevelt dime that defines savings and interest and even warns the kids gathered around him how to outfox the Great Wealth Gobbler, inflation. Part 2 stresses comparison shopping and a skeptical approach to advertising, while reminding that money is a means, not an end. Responsible and unmoralizing, but clunky, unimaginative video making. 1/2
