Bella Abzug’s Husband Dies

NEW YORK — Martin Abzug, husband of former congresswoman Bella Abzug, died of an apparent heart attack today at the couple’s Greenwich Village apartment. He was 69.
Abzug, married to the former congresswoman for more than 40 years, was a stockbroker and novelist. The couple had two daughters, Eve and Liz. Bella Abzug is running for Congress in Westchester County, seeking a return to Washington after a nine-year absence. She moved to White Plains recently.
