Freeway Work Planned: A $2.37-million project to rehabilitate part of Interstate 5 near San Juan Capistrano in April, 1987, has been approved by the California Transportation Commission. The project, on an eight-mile stretch between Oso Creek Bridge and a point just north of Pacific Coast Highway, involves grinding and grooving the pavement, installing edge drains and reconstructing overlaying asphalt and concrete on ramps and a small freeway segment in both northbound and southbound lanes. Caltrans expects to advertise for bids on the project in September.
