The identity of a female homicide victim whose skeletal remains were found at Ronald W. Caspers Wilderness Park remains unknown, a Sheriff’s Department spokesman said Sunday.
An autopsy Saturday determined that the woman died of blunt-force trauma to the head, the spokesman said. The remains were found Thursday by a ranger who was marking a trail in the 7,500-acre regional park northeast of San Juan Capistrano.
The woman was described as Caucasian, between 21 and 29 years of age, 5 feet, 2 inches tall, of slender build and with curly brown hair.
