DES MOINES, Iowa — President Reagan’s popularity among Iowa farmers has dropped a whopping 11 points in just two months, but his overall approval rating among all Iowans remains near 50%.
A poll published today in the Des Moines Register shows only 31% of the state’s farmers approve of the job the President is doing, while 52% disapprove of his performance. It marks only the second time the majority of any group polled by the paper has disapproved of Reagan’s job performance.
