Reagan Popularity Sags With Farmers in Iowa

DES MOINES — President Reagan’s popularity among Iowa farmers has dropped 11 points in the last two months, but his overall approval rating among all Iowans remains near 50%, according to a poll published Monday in the Des Moines Register.
Only 31% of the state’s farmers now approve of the job the President is doing, while 52% disapprove of his performance, the poll found.
