Alberto Salazar, who has not run in a marathon since the 1984 Summer Olympics, will run in the New York City Marathon Nov. 2. Salazar, 28, has won the New York race three times, setting a worldrecord in 1981.
Salazar was 15th in the 1984 Olympic Marathon. Since that race, he has twice undergone surgery to repair a hamstring injury.
