Dodgers Resume Play in NBC World Series

The Valley Dodgers will play the Valdosta Red Sox today in a consolation-bracket game of the National Baseball Congress World Series in Wichita, Kan.
The Dodgers (23-9), a semipro baseball team from the San Fernando Valley, need a victory to stay alive in the 32-team, double-elimination tournament. The Red Sox are the state champions of Georgia.
In action Thursday, the Ventura County Royals were eliminated from the tournament, losing to Athletes In Action, 10-0.
