A minor earthquake hit about 10 miles off the San Diego County coast Friday evening, but no damage or injuries were reported, authorities said.
The quake measured 3.6 on the Richter scale and occurred at 5:32 p.m., said Dennis Meredith, a spokesman for the Caltech Seismology Laboratory.
The temblor was centered about 10 miles southwest of San Diego and was unrelated to recent quakes near Oceanside, he said.
