Never has Jim Murray offered a more precisely accurate perspective than his comments regarding the USFL-NFL fray and the sour grapes reactions of Messrs. Usher, Myerson, Trump, et. al.
If only we who participate in the fierce day-to-day competition of the no-sports business world could rely on the skills of our attorneys to cover up our management inadequacies and inferior quality of our products.
Thankfully, our judicial process confirmed a simple fact that the USFL brain trust should have realized from the outset: The success of a second professional football league is not a divine birthright, but rather, as any entrepreneurial pursuit, depends on the business acumen of its leadership and competitive appeal of its product.
