Fresh talks between the United States and the European Communities in Brussels aimed at resolving a long-running trade dispute over citrus and pasta exports made some progress, a Common Market spokesman said. The spokesman said the talks between U.S. Trade Representative Clayton K. Yeutter and Willy de Clercq, the European commissioner in charge of external affairs, would continue today “with some hope for a solution.” The dispute centers on retaliatory duties imposed on U. S. citrus fruits and European pasta products.
