Local News in Brief : Driver Who Ran From Fatal Crash Is Sought

Police on Sunday were seeking a hit-and-run driver who fled after the pickup truck he was driving collided head-on with a compact car, killing a North Hollywood teen-ager.
The truck was traveling on the wrong side of the street when the collision occurred about 1:30 a.m. Saturday at Arleta Avenue and Roscoe Boulevard in Sun Valley, Los Angeles police Sgt. Frank Tosti said.
Andre Christopher McCormick, 17, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The driver of the truck, which overturned after the crash, fled on foot, Tosti said. The truck, which is registered to a Sun Valley business, was reported stolen shortly after the accident, police said.
