Bethlehem Steel continued to raise prices on its steel while workers at rival USX are on strike. Bethlehem said it is increasing by an average of 4% the base price for carbon and high-strength and low-alloy steel plate . . Land’s End, a Dodgeville, Wis., company that sells outdoor and casual clothing through catalogues and outlet stores, said it plans to file with the SEC for a proposed initial public offering of common stock, expected to occur in early October.
