Ford Aerospace & Communications Corp. in Newport Beach said Monday that it has won a $57.5-million contract from the Naval Air Systems Command to build guidance and control sections for Sidewinder heat-seeking missiles. Under the contract, the company will produce 2,480 guidance and control sections, as well as support equipment.
