LONDON — The sixth game of the world chess championship between titleholder Gary Kasparov and challenger Anatoly Karpov was adjourned Monday, and experts expected a draw.
With Kasparov’s 42nd move sealed in an envelope to be opened when the game resumes today, the two Soviet players were level on material, each having a rook, a bishop and four pawns. The score in the match is even at 2 1/2 points.
