The mother of a man indicted for distribution of cocaine in connection with the death of Len Bias called prosecutor Arthur A. Marshall Jr. “an evil man.”
“You can feel it when he walks into the room,” Loretta Tribble told reporters after she had testified for about 45 minutes before the grand jury that indicted her son, Brian, who was with Bias when the former Maryland basketball star died of cocaine intoxication June 19.
Loretta Tribble and her lawyer, Thomas Morrow, sharply criticized Marshall for making public statements that he believes Brian Tribble supplied the cocaine that killed Bias.
“It’s lies, all lies,” she said. “Brian is innocent.”
Marshall would not comment on the accusations.
