Downed Power Line Starts 4-Acre Fire

Los Angeles City Fire Department crews Sunday afternoon put out a four-acre blaze touched off by a downed power line near the Encino Reservoir.
No injuries or property damage resulted. Twelve fire companies and four helicopters fought the blaze, which began sending smoke over the southwestern San Fernando Valley at 12:18 p.m. and was put out at 2:11 p.m., said fire department spokesman Jim Wells.
