Seven firefighters were injured battling a market blaze in South Gate that burned for more than two hours, authorities said. Firefighters had difficulty getting into the Luna Ranch Market at 8431 State St. and were forced to attack the flames from the outside, Los Angeles County Fire Department spokesman Hubert Parker said. Six firefighters were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment of minor burns suffered in the effort. One other was treated at the scene. Damage was estimated at $750,000.
