Alex Ramos of Los Angeles knocked out Fred Hutchings of Stockton at 1:56 of the fifth round to win the California State middleweight boxing championship Saturday night at Stockton.
Ramos, a native of the Bronx, N.Y., and a former New York Golden Gloves champion, is 24-4 with 16 knockouts. Hutchings is 30-5 with 19 knockouts.
