The headquarters of Altadena-based Republic Federal Savings & Loan is moving to the San Fernando Valley.
Last September, Republic was acquired by Woodland Hills-based Weyerhaeuser Real Estate. Republic will occupy a part of the space--more than 100,000 square feet--that Weyerhaeuser will move into soon in the new Trillium tower at Warner Center.
The savings and loan said it plans to move its 90-person headquarters staff to Warner Center in October. Republic had assets of $755 million and a net worth of $29.6 million as of June 30. A year before, it had assets of $657 million and a net worth of $2.8 million.
Republic was ordered by regulators to increase its capital or find a buyer before Weyerhaeuser stepped in.
