Keith Hackamack has been appointed fire chief by City Manager David J. Thompson.
Hackamack has been acting fire chief since October, when Fire Chief Tom Wilson went on disability.
Hackamack, 57, has been with the department since 1954. He was chosen over two other candidates in the department.
