MISSING WARMTH

“COLOR IN YOUR LIFE.” Missing Persons. Capitol. One characteristic that has always separated Missing Persons from most of the lightheaded electronic dance-music pack is the simple fact that leader Terry Bozzio is a living, breathing drummer. As on their other albums, though, don’t expect any more warmth than what can be heard from the rest of the empty dance-music invasion. Singer Dale Bozzio’s insistence in “I Can’t Think About Dancin’ ” is not very convincing, as most of the songs here are well over four minutes long and seem designed especially for the disco circuit. Often, “Color” features sudden screeching guitar solos slicing through the electronic haze. But those moments come out of nowhere and disappear just as quickly, leaving only that incessant dance beat.
