‘Rose Bird Under Attack’

The real tragedy for the people of California is that, after having more than once voted in overwhelming majority to carry out the executions of proven guilty murderers in order to protect the innocent citizens and their children, they still have not seen this mandate carried out. The continued fascination of the present court with the most minuscule details of possible procedural error at the total disregard of overall justice in dealing with the callous and the depraved leaves the citizenry at the “mercy” of a criminal element, which has come to know that they won’t be killed by the state. That knowledge is dangerous to the lives of the honorable citizens of California, and totally contrary to their intent.
